Miscellaneous Saturday...

Well I was suprised this week to find this on my doorstep!
Isn't that the coolest bouquet? I just love it! Such a special friend sent that to me (although DH claimed at first it was from him...ha!)
Then I had to make end of the year gifts for the teachers. I found these wooden pencil boxes at the dollar store (Woop woop!). After some scraps and supplies they turned out like these:
So much has happened in the last 2 weeks that I can't even keep up! On Thursday we welcomed a new member of the family, LOUIE! He is a 9 month old supposedly yorkiepoo. We think he has more schnauzer in him but that is ok. The point is that he is small. He weighs 12 pounds and is the sweetest smartest pup!

Then, our second child graduated from Kindergarten on Thursday as well. Only one more child to go!

So here is a card I forgot to post as part of Sketches! by Tamara. The Thursday's sketch was this and below it is what i did with it. How embarrassing this week! I thought it looked so much cuter in my head!!!
At least i used a digistamp from Paper Popsicles again. I really love those but I need more stamping practice!

Mom...

My grandmother passed away last August. My mother had asked if I would make a page for her about grandma and frame it. I finally finished it after waiting for my aunt to send pictures and then finding a perfect layout design for the photos. Mom and Dad come home in a few days from their Florida home. It will be a late Mother's Day gift for her as well as a mini acrylic album I made for her with additional pictures of grandma. I love looking at these old photos of grandma. Paper popsicles always has ongoing challenges, themed events, and sketches, blog candy, fun, and games. This week's challenge was to create a layout about Yourself as a mother figure. This is what I came up with Thanks for looking and HAPPY SCRAPPING!

Autograph Anyone?

A co-worker headed off to Disney with her 4 year old daughter and gramma and grampa. I thought it would be a great send off to the happiest place on earth, if they had an autograph book to use.

This one from Laurinda

For the Art of It (cassie) http://fortheartofit.blogspot.com
The Karma Award: These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind of bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers. Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award. It's tough to choose only 8 but I tend to be a rule follower; I also hate making a list that's so finite but I did it. So I nominate in no particular order:

News News News from Paper Popsicles!!!

I am so excited to introduce our brand new Digital Designs, or Stamps if you want to call them that, designed exclusively for Paper Popsicles by "Cheeky Radish". Cheeky Radish is an artist, well known locally, who has so many crafty talents I can't keep up. Her art can be outrageously strange to whimiscal and fun. Here's a little blurb from the artist...

"Ever since I was a little girl, i was most content with a pencil, crayon or marker in my hand. Drawing has always been a strong part of my life, things pop into my head, and seem to find their way onto my paper! It seems that my mind is always creating the next project, I am an artist with my creativity spanning many different avenues but always involving some sort of drawing - either at the onset of the project, during, or just the project itself.
I have a wonderful, creative family, my husband who puts up with my current creative obsession, 3 talented, creatively delightful grown children, 3 little dogs, and 2 grand-dogs. Enjoy the musings of my mind."

Watch closely as our digital designs category in the store continues to grow. Head to the store to see the rest of our current selection.
