A Shoe Store and 3 Kids....

So we are out at the shoe store for quite some time. The entire family, DH, 3 little people, and myself. We are all trying on shoes (did I mention that there are NO kid shoes/sizes at this store?). So for entertainment I hear one kid say, "Hey mom, they have dried up socks here!". And this is what I see:

Yep, you guessed it! New hats!

Cupcake Craft Challenge and some Pics!

I have taken a bit of a respite from scrapbooking the past few days to enjoy family and shopping. I did manage to complete this challenge over at Cupcake Craft Challenges, #67. The challenge was to create a gift card holder. Perfect timing as I had some gifts to give on Thanksgiving day!

These were super simple and the Cosmo Cricket papers made these a breeze to make!

And now for my loves....here are pictures of my little people while we were out at the tree farm getting our tree today. I am going to be posting more photos along with my creations in 2010, part of my new year's resolution. I think my family will enjoy that for sure! Here is Nicholas:
And my sweet Hannah (she is worried she won't get to see the horses)

And my basketball, piano playing son, Riley:
That's it for now! Ta ta and thanks for looking~ Happy Scrapping!

Die Cuts R Us Design Team Challenge

Create something girly was this week's theme. That's easy peasy! Especially when you use Sammye Jo's home made posies!!! I have some more homemade goodies from her to use up too so you will be seeing more of them soon.
I had this brilliant thought to carry a "prayer journal" in my purse. There are so many people I want to keep in my thoughts and prayers and this was a perfect way to organize them! I used my BIA and some miscellaneous Basic Grey paper I had.

A couple of Challenges

I haven't done anything really scrapbook worthy this week. I know I have taken notes about several challenges I have seen but why I can't find my notes back I will never know. It seems like they have gotten lost on the scrap desk abyss...
I did manage to get this one done for Diecuts R Us Design Team. The challenge was to Emboss something with an embossing folder. I just so happen to have quite a collection of these puppies so I whipped mine out.

Last night I participated in a cookie posting challenge at SNR: Digital Delights by Louby Loo. This was their first event there. For an hour we posted our most favorite cookie recipies. I was so hungry when we finished! We got a free digi image to play with in the end. The image below was provided for a challenge. I didn't win but I had fun coloring it in with my copics, learning how to blend better.

That is it for now!

Cupcake Crafts Challenge Blog!

I have been spying on other blogs and sites looking for fun challenges. I found some terrific designers and challenges at the Cupcake Crafts Challenge Blog. This week, the challenge was to create a project with Snow on it. This is what I came up with:

What is fantabulous is that this was from leftovers from my Folly Jolly kit at Paper Popsicles. For $14, this is what is in the kit:

  • 7 12x12 double sided patterned papers by Cosmo Cricket
  • 1 die cut tree line1 piece of ball trim in pink
  • 1 sheet of stickers by Cosmo Cricket
  • 1 sheet of alpha stickers by Pink Paislee
  • 1 package of droplets by Kaisercrafts
  • 1 rub-on by Luxe Designs
  • 1 mini alpha my My Little Shoebox

These are the other projects I did for the kit:

Anyways...thanks for looking and Happy Scrapping!

I warned you!

I had thought that if I could avoid the nap I could get more done and lookey here! I did! First up is a sketch from Liz and her people at The Scrappiest. I am a sucker for sketches and this one is no different! Mucho Mojo here:

I took the Sassafras Lass Monstrosity line of paper and diecut stickers from Paper Popsicles that can be found here and used it to talk about my favorite soft drink, Coca Cola.

This next project is a journal for Barbara at work. She is leaving on a special vacation to the Dominican Republic in a couple weeks and she likes to journal during her trips. The paper can be found here at Paper Popsicles. The Zva bling and the flowers are from a couple of kits from Paper Popsicles. Barbara...NO PEEKING!
I think that is it for today....I have a circle journal to wrap up so it gets in the mail but I won't be taking pics of that one until the end....

Happy Scrapping!

I have Friday Fun!!!

Let's start off with the FREEBIE FRIDAY at Paper Popsicles! Yup! That's right! We are continuing these beauties. Today we are offering card house template. Isn't it cute?!?!? You can use these for cards or for embellishments on a layout. Just decorate and go! In order to receive the shaped card template you must go into the store and order it. It is located in the category shaped card templates. You will receive this in BOTH .jpeg and .pdf file format.
Our templates are just the outline of the open card so you can easily print this on your cardstock or patterned paper, cut it out, fold it, decorate it.... The image you see to the left is the template cut out on white cardstock and folded in two.
Show us your house card next week during our Show n Tell!
Next up are a couple of cards for different challenges I have been coming across. This first card is for a challenge at Die Cuts R Us Design Team. I didn't have a Nestable diecutting set so I did the next closest thing. I also made this my RED color challenge at Paper Popsicles. The message board there always has fun challenges and lots of prizes so being a challenge geek, i am always in the mood for that!

This card works for the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog. It is a T shaped card with fall colors for a unique gratitude card. I love that I am getting to use my new CB folders! The paper is from the Paper Popsicles store.
Thanks for Looking and Happy Scrapping! There is more to come today for sure....as long as i don't succomb to the "happy nappy" fairy!

Here I made a card set using some October Afternoon paper from Paper Popsicles. The frame was hand created with Cricut and Cricut Design Studo. Then I stamped with VersaMark and heat embossed with white/sparkly powder by ZING! I love the results. T for tricia!!!!

Another Die Cuts R Us Design Team Challenge Card!

Those of you that know me, know that I can't resist a good challenge and when the mojo is flowing...well...you get the idea! I am continuing the male card challenge from the Die Cuts R Us Design Team.
I had so much fun with the first one that I had to make another, this time for a boy birthday! The picture didn't turn out as well as I would have liked unfortunately. It wouldn't scan because of the ribbon knot and it is too dark for photos outside when I get home from work. So this is the best it gets! I love the paper and the little stickers! These are Cosmo Cricket's Monstrosity line. You get purchase this paper at Paper Popsicles at an amazing DISCOUNT! The Monster Truck image is from Dustin Pike. I used my Copics and Bic Mark-its again to color this. The letters are October Afternoon mini alphas. Thanks for looking! Happy Scrapping!

Stained Glass Butterfly!

This has got to be one of my most favorite stamps by Thats Jazzy Stamp Dreams! The Stained Glass Butterfly. And if you like the butterfly, Sheila has a terrific deal to purchase the butterfly stamp and 2 copic markers....see the deal in her etsy shop here.

I used the Stained Glass Butterfly with black Staz On Ink on Transparency film. I stickled all of the colors. Using my Slice, I cut a window out of the card using the Noteworthy SD Card. The letters are from Adorn It.
*********************************************************************
And there is a new challenge up at Let's Get Jazzy! Use this sketch as inspiration to scrap a layout or card, use a stamp (doesn't have to be TJSD's stamps) and link it here! You have until midnight November 15 to link your project HERE! A random drawing will decide the winner! He he! Like the sketch???? It's mine! I am getting my sketchy groove on these days! Thanks for looking!

Die Cuts R Us Challenge!

The task at hand from the talented Die Cuts R Us Design Team was to create a male themed/masculine card. I don't do masculine cards often enough but the end of Soccer season spurred the need for a thank you card:
This soccer paper is only 18 cents at the Paper Popsicles Store! It is in the clearance section with oodles of other bargains. And the digital image is exclusive to Paper Popsicles' as well!!!! I used my copics and Bic Mark-It pens to color in the image in some spots (thanks Melissa!)

Wacky Wednesday Hump Day Sketch #5

What can YOU do? We would love to see some magic! Link up your cards by midnight CST November 3rd to be entered into a random RAK:
Your choice of 3 card templates from the Paper Popsicles store! These are great to print and cut out or cut out with your Cricut using SCAL and Inkscape! And they are reusable too! Hours and days and multiple uses for these great cards that are unique to Paper Popsicles!

Paper Popsicles' Show and Share Monday!

Were you able to get the freebie pumpkin card template last friday from Paper Popsicles? You did? Terrific! Now head over to the blog and post what you did with it! This is what I did. I used the paper from the October kit. The spider is a BG bling from the Paper Popsicles' store. The twine and leaves were from my stash. I even used a digi from Cheeky Radish, also found at the Paper Popsicle's store.
Thanks for looking at Happy Scrapping!

Die Cuts R Us Design Team Blog Challenge!

I found a new blog that I have been lurking on for awhile now. The design team there is very enthusiastic. They use stamps, diecuts, paper peicing and a whole lot more! Right up my alley! This week's challenge was to create an ECO FRIENDLY project. They are promoting the Cosmo Cricket "Earth Love" line. I didn't have any eco friendly paper so I decided to go the RECYCLED route. Here i used bits of kleenex and twine from a package of cards I received in the mail. The colors are kinda earthy (right?!?!). I used my cricut expression to cut out the peices for the fence. It is hard to see but I did emboss them with my cuttlebug.
I used Patty Pig from Paper Popsicles' digitals. The entire sentiment reads: I HOPE YOU SQUEAL BETTER SOON! I made this for one of my staff who have come down with the dreaded H1N1 virus...hope it lifts her spirits! Thanks for peeking and Happy Scrapping!
