School is In Session!

So Scrap Friendzy is having another month long party.  Now we are in School and we are learning all sort sof new techniques.  There are pop quizes, after school activities, classes.  Whew!  It's like I am really back in school again!   Here are some of the goodies i have done so far.  This first one is folding your paper and added some football lacing somewhere on your page.  I really like the folded background.  Simple yet effective!
This next one was a preassignment to make a page with an inspiration from a child's lunch box.  The lunch box I modelled after was a ladybug box: red, black and white.  I used a picture of my little people on their first day of school.  I took the picture in our backyard before we headed out the door.  All of the paper products were from Jenni Bowlin.
How can you go to classes without having a calendar to write down all of your assignments?  Here is mine using my very favorite Webster's Pages papers that i have been hanging on to because my LSS doesn't sell them...
The blouse below was the inspiration for my new blog header.  We were supposed to go back to school in fashion.  I decided my blog needed a face lift and the colors on this blouse were a perfect fit for my mood.
Sorry Becca....I forgot to put my new watermark on my photos today.  I haven't put anything on my blog for eons so I guess I am out of practice!  Please join in on the fun at Scrap-Friendzy.  It isn't too late.  The community is drama free and not pretentious...I really am having fun and getting alot done!  Thanks so much for looking today and Happy Scrapping!

Vote for me PLEASE!!!!!!!!

Welcome to the end of WEEK 5 at Scrap-Friendzy's Camp Friendzy. This week's challenge was called "MESS HALL". The challenge was to find trash or recycling items for your page. We needed at least 2 items. I used bottled water caps and smashed them with a hammer then added color to them using some alcohol inks (these are the flowers). Under two of the flowers are the left over spool parts from some ribbon that I used for another project. I also found some amusement park tickets in the recycling bin and they were the right color for my project here:
Don't you just love this Echo Park Paper? I just LOVE LOVE LOVE it!
Vote for me today and Sunday so that I can move on to the next round PLEASE!!!!!
VOTE HERE.
As always, thanks for looking and Happy Scrapping!

Happy Birthday Mom!

Today is my Mother's birthday. She is a fantastic woman and a Peacemaker in the family. She has a great sense of humor too. Although she lives about an hour from me, I sure do wish at times she lives right next door so I could visit with her everyday...especially so we can play Bananagrams....and then I can tease her (gant away now people....**Snicker**)
Anyways...HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOTHER!
Isn't this paper AWESOME!?!?!? Echo Park Paper.....it rocks!

Camp Friendzy Fun at Scrap Friendzy!

Now I don't know what possessed me last week using all of these buttons but they just "fit" with what i was doing. One of the bonus challenges was a Recipe challenge. These were the requirements: Black ink (around the edges of the double pagerRubons (blech...the words: a few of my favorite, SMILE, and the words along the right and left edges)Handwritten journalling (on the blue flower spot)Cardstock: Orange and light greenMatted photos: the ones on the orange cardstockTorn Edges: the orange cardstock
The following bonus challenge was "letters home". The requirements here were to use stuff from your stash, old stuff, not new to create some cards. Check out the old c r a p I dug up as far as paper is concerned. Why on earth do I keep this stuff? The digital stamp is from the Digi Shack.
And this bonus challenge was to follow a magazine ad that was shown. It was for good nights diapers and this is what I came up with:
There have been so many great challenges and games going on this summer. I am totally getting caught up with my stuff! Thanks for looking and happy scrapping!

Calling all Dads, Fathers, Papas, Pops!

Ok, I know I am late getting this post up. We were out of town for the weekend. I even meant to use these cards for a challenge blog contest too but alas, too much on my plate and I forgot to hit the submit button and get these posted!
Oh well, I am so thankful for my dad. So smart and full of information and tidbits. He is quite funny too! Here are some Father's Day cards I made to celebrate such a wonderful day:

I just love Fancy Pants when they have sets with journalling cards. Their new line has them in there and they are perfect for Dads!!!! Thanks for looking and happy scrapping!

Thanks A Latte!

One of my staff asked me to make a larger thank you card to give to a group of volunteers that was going to do some yard work and cleaning for 12 clients in our area. Of course I can't turn down a worthy cause or a good project. This is what I came up with:

End of School Year Teacher Goodies!

This was a set of froggy cards for the kindergarten teacher. She loves frogs and has quite a collection of frogs in her classroom.

This card is actually about 8x11 big. The students in 3 different classes signed off on the inside and gave it to Sr. Rosemary who was heading overseas for some missionary work. The kids pitched in and bought her the first digital camera she ever had. She is one of their aides during the school year.

First Week of Camp....

This is the first official challenge of the week at Camp-Friendzy (Scrap-Friendzy). It was to use 3 different circle elements and and arrow of sorts. You can vote for me HERE. I sure would love to be one of the last campers standing!
We started out creating "field" journals of sorts. Here is mine using Cosmo Cricket's Nutmeg line:
A pre-camp challenge was to create a layout celebrating something with hand written journalling It is hard to see but the journalling is there. The paper is Kaiser Craft.

This too was a pre-camp challenge: Meet me at the Flagpole (using flags or banners). I used my fave Jillibean line here. This is a funny picture too!

This next one was a bonus sketch challenge for the week. I used some Craft papers that I have had hanging around.
Another pre-camp challenge was a recipe challenge using the word CAMPER (c cardstock, a AMAZE, M metal, P punch, E emboss, R ribbon)
Thanks for looking! It isn't too late to join in on the fun! There are raks during challenges and lots of games and chatter! Thanks for looking and happy scrapping!
