From Shags to Sheek!

Who knew that the fun I was having during Scrap-Friendzy's Camp Friendzy this summer would continue week after week?!?!?! If you haven't joined over there, it isn't too late to get in on some RAKS and games and super awesome challenges! This week's challenge was to create a layout with shades of green, a bird or a butterfly or both, and 2 different kinds of flowers. This is what I came up with:

Isn't Louie so funny looking? If you feel inclined, I can use some votes this week so that I can continue on. I sure would love to be the last camper standing! You can vote HERE today! Thanks for looking and Happy scrapping!

Calling all Dads, Fathers, Papas, Pops!

Ok, I know I am late getting this post up. We were out of town for the weekend. I even meant to use these cards for a challenge blog contest too but alas, too much on my plate and I forgot to hit the submit button and get these posted!
Oh well, I am so thankful for my dad. So smart and full of information and tidbits. He is quite funny too! Here are some Father's Day cards I made to celebrate such a wonderful day:

I just love Fancy Pants when they have sets with journalling cards. Their new line has them in there and they are perfect for Dads!!!! Thanks for looking and happy scrapping!

Thanks A Latte!

One of my staff asked me to make a larger thank you card to give to a group of volunteers that was going to do some yard work and cleaning for 12 clients in our area. Of course I can't turn down a worthy cause or a good project. This is what I came up with:

End of School Year Teacher Goodies!

This was a set of froggy cards for the kindergarten teacher. She loves frogs and has quite a collection of frogs in her classroom.

This card is actually about 8x11 big. The students in 3 different classes signed off on the inside and gave it to Sr. Rosemary who was heading overseas for some missionary work. The kids pitched in and bought her the first digital camera she ever had. She is one of their aides during the school year.

First Week of Camp....

This is the first official challenge of the week at Camp-Friendzy (Scrap-Friendzy). It was to use 3 different circle elements and and arrow of sorts. You can vote for me HERE. I sure would love to be one of the last campers standing!
We started out creating "field" journals of sorts. Here is mine using Cosmo Cricket's Nutmeg line:
A pre-camp challenge was to create a layout celebrating something with hand written journalling It is hard to see but the journalling is there. The paper is Kaiser Craft.

This too was a pre-camp challenge: Meet me at the Flagpole (using flags or banners). I used my fave Jillibean line here. This is a funny picture too!

This next one was a bonus sketch challenge for the week. I used some Craft papers that I have had hanging around.
Another pre-camp challenge was a recipe challenge using the word CAMPER (c cardstock, a AMAZE, M metal, P punch, E emboss, R ribbon)
Thanks for looking! It isn't too late to join in on the fun! There are raks during challenges and lots of games and chatter! Thanks for looking and happy scrapping!

I am Camping ALL SUMMER!

My friend Carol invited me to Scrap-Friendzy for a summer long "camping" creative scrapping adventure. I have been enjoying the chit chat so far. So refreshing as I haven't been on a message board or forum for so long. I guess I missed it! Why don't you join us?!?! It isn't too late. The first challenge is up until Friday midnight (when it's due). Grab your sleeping bags, your flashlights, and your bug repellent! Meet me at the flagpole!

Rock On!

Isn't this fun!? I love this teen rocker image! And the guitar shaped card found in the store HERE is just a perfect addition! Rock On!

Some treats for YOU!

I made another set of birthday tags for a swap. I just LOVED this MM paper that i have been hoarding for a year now. Why do I keep old papers? The colors and the butterflies were my fave theme! I got to use one of my Fiskars punches too and some ricrac that had been lying around. The CELEBRATE stamp is a favorite one of mine from That's Jazzy Stamp Dreams and is only 75 CENTS!!! An acryllic stamp that is so timeless and inexpensive!
This card was a quickie for me. So simple. I used some other That's Jazzy Stamp Dreams stamps here too. They belonged to Amy's Cookie Words

Sheila is also selling Copic Markers at a BARGAIN price and she is dappling in Zing American Crafts embossing powder as well! How fun!
Thanks for looking and Happy Scrapping!

Bad Bad Blogger...but howz about that Vern Yip?

I know I have been MIA. I can't believe that the last time I posted anything was May 15th! That was last month already! So sorry friends~ hopefully I can make it up to you right now...
First of all, May was crazy busy. Did you know that I hosted a GYNORMOUS luncheon with Vern Yip from HGTV's Deserving Designs? That was May 20th. We had nearly 650 people attend. Here are the delightful pictures:

Check it out....I am sitting in the backseat of the car with Vern Yip...on the way to the airport!

Vern is such a nice guy. He autographed things and was chatty and super sweet!
We had two IMAG screens projecting the images up for all in the convention hall to see better. That was such a treat! The event was to honor volunteers, caregivers, businesses, and professionals who give to the older adults and disabled individuals in our communities. There were 9 awards given out and Vern Yip was our key note speaker.
So there you have....the reason why I was a bad bad blogger!
I guess now I have some pictures to put on a couple layout pages, eh????
