I've Missed Me!

Have you missed me? I sure have! I haven't done any blog worthy scrapbooking or crafting since my last post 12/5! Pathetic! I will try to update with some pictures at least this week...I promise! With the infection that I had and all that is going on with kids and school and extracurriculars, I have been without mojo! Perhaps an elf took it?
Paper Popsicles' is closing the doors today. We will re-open with something BETTER 1/15 so you want to be on the lookout in January! Fun and challenges and giveaways galore! You sure don't want to miss out so stay tuned.

A lot of Somethings for a Saturday!

I have been sick this week. Started out with a cold but morphed into Strep Throat. Eek! So I haven't posted anything. Mojo was flowing though and this is what i have done This morning:
This first project is for the challenge at Die Cuts R US Design Team. The challenge was to create a handmade gift. I am making coffee mugs for my staff and my boss. The logo was converted to a cut file for my Cricut Expression and I etched the glass with the diecut! Cool eh? Each mug will have a packet of hot cocoa and a candy cane (I didn't have the real thing when I took the photo!). There is a poem on the back called "Snowman Soup" . I decided to take the school logo and make these for the teachers too. So simple and quick and way too much fun!
This is a birthday card I whipped together last night for my hubby using a bit of this and a bit of that from my stash. The kids think he turned 22 (boy are they snowed!). Happy Birthday Matt! You are the best!
This card is for the Cupcake Craft Challenges blog. This has been a fun site to follow. I am a sucker for challenges (can you tell?!). In fact, I won last week's challenge and snagged some cute digis from Soft Pencil! This week we were to create a card with the colors Red and Green. I used some MM printed papers and Cosmo Cricket. The Digi is from Digital Delights by Louby Loo. I am still working on my coloring skills with those copics. Good thing I won a new set from the Cuttlebug Challenge blog. I think the trick is to have alot of these suckers in multiple shades.
This card was made using up the remaining Cosmo Cricket paper I had and a digi from Paper Popsicles. I used some Kaiser Craft pearls for some of the snow flakes. It is hard to see here but I used Shimmerz Blingz on the snowman. I did this card for the Snowflake challenge (#19) at Kaboodle Doodles.
This final quickie is a tag that I made with another Digital Delights by Louby Loo image. There is a challenge right now at PaperCraft Planet and their website right now using this image.
I whipped out my MM Slice for this one. I think it turned out rather cute. I think that is all I have for now. It is off to the mall with the little people and out for dinner with the birthday guy! Have a great day and Happy Scrapping!

I am a PAGE MAPS Girl!

I was so excited to be asked to help out this month!!! You can see my work HERE at Becky Fleck's PageMaps site. I created a horizontal 8 1/2 x 11 page. I really enjoyed this!

Thanks for looking and Happy Scrapping!

Digital Practice...

I continue to practice my coloring skills using my copics (thanks Melissa!) and my Bic MarkIts. I follow several blogs with digital images. I found this one awhile ago and I was just itching to use it! This was from Mo's Digial Pencil Too and these two are named Bella and Bronte and they are ready to PARTY aren't they?
The printed paper was from the Paper Popsicles' store, the Studio 8 Birthday collection. The blooms are Petaloo. The letters are leftovers from the last kit I worked iwth. The Pearls are a mix of miscellaneous goodies from the craft store and Kaiser Craft.
I used some stickles to accent as well. Thanks for looking and Happy Crafting!

A Shoe Store and 3 Kids....

So we are out at the shoe store for quite some time. The entire family, DH, 3 little people, and myself. We are all trying on shoes (did I mention that there are NO kid shoes/sizes at this store?). So for entertainment I hear one kid say, "Hey mom, they have dried up socks here!". And this is what I see:

Yep, you guessed it! New hats!

Cupcake Craft Challenge and some Pics!

I have taken a bit of a respite from scrapbooking the past few days to enjoy family and shopping. I did manage to complete this challenge over at Cupcake Craft Challenges, #67. The challenge was to create a gift card holder. Perfect timing as I had some gifts to give on Thanksgiving day!

These were super simple and the Cosmo Cricket papers made these a breeze to make!

And now for my loves....here are pictures of my little people while we were out at the tree farm getting our tree today. I am going to be posting more photos along with my creations in 2010, part of my new year's resolution. I think my family will enjoy that for sure! Here is Nicholas:
And my sweet Hannah (she is worried she won't get to see the horses)
And my basketball, piano playing son, Riley:
That's it for now! Ta ta and thanks for looking~ Happy Scrapping!

Die Cuts R Us Design Team Challenge

Create something girly was this week's theme. That's easy peasy! Especially when you use Sammye Jo's home made posies!!! I have some more homemade goodies from her to use up too so you will be seeing more of them soon.
I had this brilliant thought to carry a "prayer journal" in my purse. There are so many people I want to keep in my thoughts and prayers and this was a perfect way to organize them! I used my BIA and some miscellaneous Basic Grey paper I had.

A couple of Challenges

I haven't done anything really scrapbook worthy this week. I know I have taken notes about several challenges I have seen but why I can't find my notes back I will never know. It seems like they have gotten lost on the scrap desk abyss...
I did manage to get this one done for Diecuts R Us Design Team. The challenge was to Emboss something with an embossing folder. I just so happen to have quite a collection of these puppies so I whipped mine out.

Last night I participated in a cookie posting challenge at SNR: Digital Delights by Louby Loo. This was their first event there. For an hour we posted our most favorite cookie recipies. I was so hungry when we finished! We got a free digi image to play with in the end. The image below was provided for a challenge. I didn't win but I had fun coloring it in with my copics, learning how to blend better.

That is it for now!

Cupcake Crafts Challenge Blog!

I have been spying on other blogs and sites looking for fun challenges. I found some terrific designers and challenges at the Cupcake Crafts Challenge Blog. This week, the challenge was to create a project with Snow on it. This is what I came up with:

What is fantabulous is that this was from leftovers from my Folly Jolly kit at Paper Popsicles. For $14, this is what is in the kit:

  • 7 12x12 double sided patterned papers by Cosmo Cricket
  • 1 die cut tree line1 piece of ball trim in pink
  • 1 sheet of stickers by Cosmo Cricket
  • 1 sheet of alpha stickers by Pink Paislee
  • 1 package of droplets by Kaisercrafts
  • 1 rub-on by Luxe Designs
  • 1 mini alpha my My Little Shoebox

These are the other projects I did for the kit:

Anyways...thanks for looking and Happy Scrapping!
