This week has been
Some Odd Girl's Anniversary. They are celebrating one year. Although I have just discovered their digis, I am in love. To celebrate their one year, they are having a week long celebration with daily challenges and some terrific prizes! I was able to participate in a few of them this week. The sun finally peeked out today, so I was able to photograph my projects better. Monday's challenge was to take 1 digi and use it in 3 different ways. The beauty of digis is that you can flip then, make them
HUGE, make them
tiny, make a background, the possibilities are only limited by your imagination! So, I used one of their sentiments, You Are So Sweet, and made two cards: one with a tiling of the sentiment, and one lonely larger sentiment, and then I made a bookmark.
Wednesday's challenge was Color Pride. Today, as part of their Anniversary celebration, they had a color challenge that is near and dear to their hearts. They want us to show our Odd Pride by making a project with the color scheme that has been with them, in one way or another, since the beginning:
I loved how this digi turned out. I looks like one of my boys "plugged in" for sure!
Thursday was the Kids Day Challenge. We were invited to have our kids use the digis. Of course mine loved this. Both of my youngest participated (shhhhh, don't tell Nicholas I didn't include his this time around....). Here is Hannah's. She loves to bling things out. I think she used a sleeve of pearls and rhinestones as well as a bottle of Stickles (what a stinker!)
Friday's challenge is Some Odd Elements. We are invited to use a SOG digi and at least three of the following items:
Shaped Card (any shape but square or rectangular)
Organza Ribbon
Misting/Masking
Embossing
Orange
Doodling
Die Cut
Glitter
Ink
Ric rak
Layers (at least 4 on your creation)
You will notice that the first letter of each of the elements above spell
Some Odd Girl. Here is my card with Embossing, Orange, a Teacup shaped card, I cut the digis out like a die cut, a diecut sticker, glitter (I used stickles on her headband, heart on the shirt, and her shoes), ink on the edge of the card, as well as organza ribbon (ok, I am an overacheiver)
There is still some time to get in on any of the challenges. They are due by the end of the day today, EST. I am hoping to get in the last challenge of the week which is to create a mini card, less than 3x4 inches big. I think I can do it after the basket ball game today and while watching the Bears slaughter the Green Bay Packers (he he).
Thanks for looking as always and Happy Scrapping!
